
Ingredients:
• Raw Rice – 2 cup
• Bengal Gram (Channa dal) – 1/2 cup
• Black gram (Urad dal) – 1/2 cup
• Red gram (Toor dal) – 1/2 cup
• Red Chillies – 4 to 5
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Green chillies – 2, finely chopped
• Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, chopped
• Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Salt to taste
• Oil
Method:
- Wash and soak the rice and all the dals together in water for 4 hrs.
- Grind to a slightly coarse, thick paste with red chillies.
- Add turmeric powder, green chillies, coriander leaves and grated coconuts.
- Heat a thick tawa. Pour 1/2 cup of batter and spread to about 1/8″ thickness.
- Pour some oil all round. Increase the heat and cook till the underside is brown.
- Turn over and cook the other side.
- Serve with avial, sambar or butter and jaggery
