
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – all-purpose flour
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – shortening
• 2/3 cup – granulated Sugar
• 1/3 cup – Milk
• 1/2 cup – Walnuts
• 2 chocolate squares (bitter)
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 2 tsp – baking powder
Method:
- Cream together shortening, sugar and vanilla essence.
- Beat in the eggs and melted chocolate.
- Sieve dry ingredients and blend it in alternately with milk.
- Add chopped walnuts. Chill in refrigerator for 3 hours
- Shape into 1″ balls. Coat with sugar.
- Place each ball 2-3″ apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake in moderately slow oven at 350 degree F for 15 mins.
- Cool a little before removing from the pan.
