Ingredients:

• Shredded Cabbage – 1 cup
• Sliced beans – 3/4 cup
• Spring onions – 2
• Diced Carrot – 1 cup
• Cauliflower florets – 1/2 cup
• Green chillies – 5
• All purpose flour – 3 tbsp
• Cornflour – 5 tbsp
• Ajinomoto – 1 tsp
• Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil to deep fry
• For garnishing:
• A few – Spring onions
• Chillies – 4
• Garlic – 4 Cloves
• Ginger juliennes – 1 tsp
• Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
• Curry leaves – a few

Method:

  1. Steam cabbage, beans, spring onions, carrot, cauliflower and green chillies till half cooked
  2. Blend the vegetables coarsely.
  3. Mix well salt, chilli sauce, ajinomoto, flour and corn flour
  4. Make small dumplings of the above mixture and deep fry until brown.
  5. Dish them onto a paper napkin to drain excess oil.
  6. Take a shallow pan, put 2 tsps oil and add the spring onions, garlic, ginger juliennes and curry leaves.
  7. Put the fried dumplings into the pan and add soya and chilli sauce.
  8. Add about 1/4 cup or less of water so as to soften the dumplings.
  9. Stir fry on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle ajinomoto if desired.
  11. Serve hot.
