Ingredients:

• 8 cups – Milk
• 4 tbsp – Rice
• 1 tsp – powdered Cardamom
• 1/4 tsp – Saffron
• 1 tbsp – Raisins
• 1/2 cup – Sugar or according to taste
• 1 tsp – Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 1 tbsp – blanched and sliced Almonds and pistas

Method:

  1. Wash and dry the rice, and then rub in 1 tsp of ghee.
  2. Bring the milk to a boil; add rice and cook on a slow flame till the rice is cooked well.
  3. Add sugar and cook till milk reaches a creamy consistency.
  4. Add the powdered cardamom, nutmeg, saffron, almond, pista, and raisins.
  5. Simmer for 2 minutes and serve.
  6. It can be eaten hot with puris or cold as a pudding.
