Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups – Kaju powder (cashew nut)
• 1/2 cup – mawa (75 g) (khoya)
• 1/2 cup – Sugar (heaped)
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder

Method:

  1. Add water to sugar, heat and prepare into thick syrup.
  2. Mix mawa, cashew powder with the syrup, continue stirring on low flame.
  3. When the mixture starts leaving the sides of pan or when white bubbles start emanating from the bottom of pan add cardamom powder, put off the heat.
  4. When the barfi cools down a little, pour it into a greased thali.
  5. Allow it to cool down and set before cutting it into pieces.
