A popular Indian sweet dish and the perfect fasting delicacy, here is for you Papite ka halwa recipe. This halwa recipe is quick, easy and mellow sweet dish that is perfect dessert dish and also it needs very less sugar because we use ripe papaya here. This dessert dish is elegantly laced with the sweetness and flavor of cardamom powder and garnish with cashew nuts and rose petals. Finish your fasting meal with this delicious papite ka halwa.

Ingredients:

– 4 cups dices ripe papaya
– 1 cup sugar or as per taste
– 2 cups milk
– 2 tablespoon rice flour
– 6 tablespoons ghee
– 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
– Few cashew nuts
– Few rose petals, for garnishing

How To Cook?

1. Bring the milk to boil. Once boiled allow it to cool.
2. Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of the ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts till golden. Set aside.
3. In the leftover ghee fry the rice flour slightly and add this fried rice flour to the boiled milk. Set aside.
4. In a mixture blender, place diced papaya and blend it to smooth puree.
5. In a heavy bottom pan, heat 1 tablespoon ghee and add papaya puree and cook for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
6. After papaya is cooked add sugar and milk to it. Mix well and cook again for another 10 minutes. Stir continuously.
7. Now, add remaining ghee and stir continuously until mixture leaves the pan and forms thick halwa consistency.
8. At this moment add cardamom powder and cashew nuts. Mix well.
9. Remove from the heat and garnish it with some rose petals.
10. Your papite ka halwa is ready to serve.
