
Ingredients:
• Aval/Flattened Rice- 1/2 cup
• Rolled Oats-1/2 cup
• Curd-1/2 cup
• Carrot-1
• Peas-a handful
• Mustard-1/2 tsp
• Channa Dal-1/2 tsp
• Green Chillies-2
• Oil-1 tsp
• Urad Dal-1/2 tsp
• Fruit Salt- a pinch
• Salt- to taste
• Coriander leaves-a few
Method:
- Dry roast aval and oats in a pan and once cooled, powder them coarsely in a blender. Then, add salt, fruit salt and curd. The idli batter is ready.
- In a pan, add mustard, channa dal and urad dal with green chillies. Also add grated carrot and peas. Add this mixture to the idli batter.
- With this, add coriander leaves and mix well. Grease the idli plates with oil and pour in the batter.
- Steam until done. Tasty Aval Oats Idli is ready. Serve hot with sambhar and chutney.
