
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – Tender green gram
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp -Sesame seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Garam Masala (optional)
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp- Oil
• 2 tbsp- Ghee
Method:
- Sieve the flour and the salt together.
- Grind the gram and chillies in a mixer until smooth.
- Add this to the flour. Now add the seeds, garam masala and 2 tbsp oil.
- Mix well and knead into a smooth dough.
- Divide into 20 portions and make balls.
- Cover with a moist cloth.
- Now roll these out into wafer thin rounds.
- Place on a hot griddle, cook on both sides till light spots appear.
- Apply ghee after taking down. Repeat for the entire dough.
- Now heat a griddle, and cook the round, press with a thick wad of cloth to make it crisp and golden. Cook both the sides.
- Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
- Serve with tea or coffee with pickles, chutney or sauce.
