Ingredients:

• 200 g – refined flour/maida
• 2 eggs
• 200 g – powdered Sugar
• 200 g – Butter
• a pinch of salt
• 2 tbsp – cocoa powder
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence
• 2tbsp – broken Cashew nuts or Walnuts

Method:

  1. Beat the butter, sugar, eggs, salt, cocoa powder and vanilla essence together till creamy.
  2. Add the flour and mix well.
  3. If the mixture is too thick, add a little milk.
  4. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured cake tin, and sprinkle the broken cashewnuts or walnuts on the top.
  5. Bake for 30-40 mins in a moderate oven.
  6. The top should be brown and crisp.
