
Ingredients:
• 500 g – small Prawns
• 1 cup – chopped Cabbage
• 2 cups – chopped Carrot
• 1/2 cup – chopped Onion
• 3 – Green chillies , chopped finely
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp – fish masala powder
• 4 tbsp – Corn flour
• 1 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves
• Salt, to taste
• 1 cup – bread crumbs
• Oil, for deep fry
• Ingredients for gravy :
• 2 cups – chopped Onion
• 1/2 cup – Tomato puree
• 2 tbsp – Tomato ketchup
• 1 – large potato, diced into medium sized cubes
• 1 tbsp – Ginger paste
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1 inch stick – Cinnamon
• 2 – Cardamom
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• Salt , to taste
• Ghee/oil, as required
Method:
- Boil prawns and mince.
- Add the chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, fish masala, coriander leaves and corn flower and knead into a dough.
- Form round balls with this dough, roll on the bread crumbs and deep fry the kofta balls in hot oil.
- To make the curry, fry the potato cubes.
- In a pan, heat oil and add bay leaf, cinnamon and cardamom.
- Add ginger paste, onion, tomato puree, tomato ketchup, turmeric and cumin powder and fry till fragrant.
- Add water, fried potatoes and salt and cook till the potatoes get the desired consistency.
- Add the kofta balls a minute or two before removing from the heat.
- Serve hot with rotis or rice.
