
Ingredients:
• Rice 1 cup
• Chilly powder 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
• Sugar 1 tsp
• Karipatha (curry leaves) – a few leaves
• Salt to taste
• Ground nut 2 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
• Urd dal 1/2 tsp
• Oil 2 tbsp
Method:
- Add a tsp oil and salt to rice and cook with less water so, when rice is done the grains are separate.Keep aside.
- Heat remaining oil in a pressure pan.
- Crackle mustard seeds and fry urd dal.
- When half done, add groundnuts and fry till groundnut crackles. Turn off heat.
- Add turmeric, powder, chilly powder and karipatha (curry leaves).
- Add rice and sugar and mix well and serve.
