Ingredients:
• 1 large bunch – Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• A small ball of Jaggery
• Salt, to taste
• 1.5 cups – besan (gram flour)
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• Oil, for frying
• Water, to make a dough.
Method:
- Finely chop the coriander leaves.
- Wash them thoroughly with water.
- In a bowl, add the chopped coriander leaves, the above mentioned spices, salt, gram flour, jaggery and garam masala.
- Mix well.
- Add water to make a dough.
- Knead the dough properly using some oil.
- To steam the dough:
- Grease a vessel (that fits in the pressure cooker) with some oil.
- Now, evenly spread the dough in the greased vessel.
- Without whistle, steam on low flame for 15-20 minutes.
- Cut the cooked cake into rectangular pieces.
- Fry the rectangular pieces till golden brown in a wok containing hot oil.
- Serve hot with Tomato Sauce or with Coconut Chutney.
