
Ingredients:
• Chicken joints – 500 gm
• water 1 litre
• Tomato – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• salt and pepper to taste
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• coriander powder – 1 tsp
• Vinegar – 2 tsp
• oil – 3 tbsp
• Onion – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• Garlic – 1 tsp, minced
• Ginger – 1 tsp, minced
Method:
- Combine the chicken joints with water, tomato, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil and simmer till the chicken is cooked.
- Strain and reserve the stock. Cool the chicken pieces and shred the meat.
- Mix turmeric and coriander powder with vinegar.
- Heat the oil and fry onion, garlic and ginger till fragrant.
- Add the paste and fry for few seconds.
- Add the stock and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- Add the chicken meat. Add salt and pepper if needed.
- Simmer for 5 more minutes and remove from fire.
- Serve hot with a table spoon of cooked rice in each bowl.
