
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – mixed beans (any type, soaked)
• 1 – Raw banana
• 1 – Onion (finely chopped)
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3/4 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 3 – bread slices
• salt to taste
• oil as needed
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves (chopped)
Method:
- Pressure-cook the mixed beans with salt and water (up to 3 hisses) and keep aside.
- Peel the skin and cut the raw banana into large pieces. Pressure-cook (up to 3 hisses).
- Drain the excess of water from the cooked beans.
- Mash the cooked beans and cooked raw banana nicely with your fingers into a coarse paste.
- Heat a few drops of oil and saute the chopped onions with garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt and red chilli powder.
- Add the onion-spice mixture to the beans-banana paste.
- Soak the bread slices in water, then squeeze out the excess of water.
- Add the squeezed bread slices and coriander leaves to the beans-raw banana paste. Mix well.
- Prepare small balls from the paste and flatten them with your palms into any desired shape.
- Heat oil and fry the cutlets golden brown.
- Serve with chutney or ketchup.
