
Ingredients:
• Raw banana Podimas:
• 2 cups – Raw banana chunks (cooked & smashed)
• 1 – Onion (chopped finely)
• 1 tsp – Ginger (chopped finely)
• 2 – Green chillies (chopped)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Channa dal
• 1 – Dry Red Chilli
• Curry leaves
• Salt
• Oil
Method:
- Heat enough oil and splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal and dry red chillies.
- Add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger and saute everything well until the onions turns translucent.
- Add turmeric powder, smashed raw banana pieces, salt and curry leaves, sprinkle some water and simmer for few minutes, until the vegetables are well cooked.
- Spread the raw banana podimas over a slice of bread, cover with another.
- Meanwhile make a thick paste with all-purpose flour and water.
- Brush this thick paste over the podimas stuffed bread slices, sprinkle rolled oats.
- Press to get a good coating of the oats.
- Toast on both sides.
