Ingredients:

• Poha ( thick variety) – 1 cup
• Tamarind paste – 1 tsp
• Sugar – 1tsp
• Haldi powder – 1/2 tsp
• salt to taste
• For Tadka:
• groundnuts – 1 tbsp
• mustard – 1 tsp
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Chana dal – 1 tsp
• oil – 2 tbsp
• few Curry leaves
• To Garnish:
• grated Coconut – 1tbsp

Method:

  1. Clean poha and coarsely powder in a mixer. Add tamarind paste, haldi powder, sugar and salt to taste. Mix well with little water.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, curry leaves and fry till dal and peanuts are golden brown.
  3. Add poha mix and fry well . Serve hot garnished with grated coconut.
