Ingredients:

• 100 gms – boiled and cooled Rice
• 200 gms – boiled Milk
• 2 tbsp – Sugar (6 tsps)
• 2 – eggs
• 1/4 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 1 pinch – salt
• 1 tbsp – Raisins
• 1/2 tsp – Butter (to grease baking dish)

Method:

  1. Separate egg yolks and white.
  2. Gently beat egg white until stiff froth. Keep aside.
  3. Gently beat egg yolks. Keep aside.
  4. Grease a baking dish with 1/2 tsp butter.
  5. Preheat oven at 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
  6. In a wide bowl, mix the rice with the milk, sugar, salt, nutmeg powder, and beaten egg yolks.
  7. Finally, stir in the beaten egg white. Sprinkle raisins.
  8. Pour the mixture into a well-greased baking dish and bake at 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F for 30 – 35 minutes or until the mixture leaves from the sides of the pan and golden colour.
  9. Keep aside to cool for 15 minutes and serve.
