Ingredients:
• Raw Rice – 500 g
• Sprouted green gram – 25 g
• Ginger – 1.5 inches
• Asafoetida – 1 pinch
• Cumin – 1 tsp
• Bay Leaf – 2
• Grated Coconut – 1 cup
• Refined oil – 2 tbsp
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and soak rice for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker or in a frying pan. Add bay leaf and cumin seeds. Stir for a second.
- When cumin seeds crackle, add grated coconut into it.
- Add hot water in proportion of one is to two.
- Add crushed ginger and asafoetida.
- Now add soaked rice and sprouted green gram and salt to taste.
- Cook till done. Remove it from fire, pour ghee evenly over it.
- Serve hot.
