Ingredients:

• 500 g-basmati Rice
• 100 g- Ghee
• Bay Leaves and Garam Masala to taste
• 2 tbsp each- ginger, Garlic and chilli paste
• 1 cup- yogurt or Curd
• 1 cup- chopped Mint leaves
• salt
• 1 bunch-mint leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Soak rice in water for an hour and then drain. Put a wok on fire and add ghee.
  2. When hot add bay leaves and garam masala.
  3. Add ginger, garlic and chilli paste and simmer.
  4. Add mint leaves, salt, water and the rice.
  5. When the water starts boiling, lower the flame and let the water dry.
  6. Take out of fire. Garnish with chopped mint leaves and serve hot.
