Ingredients:

• 300 g – besan
• 12 green chillies, long and big
• 1/2 tsp – ajwain
• 1/2 tbsp – Rice flour
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/8 tsp – baking soda
• salt
• For stuffing: 1 tbsp – grated Coconut
• 1 onion, chopped very fine
• 1/2 tbsp – chopped, Coriander leaves
• a pinch amchur powder
• a pinch Garam Masala

Method:

  1. Mix both the flours with salt, red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of ajwain and baking soda
  2. Prepare bajji batter and keep aside.
  3. Slit chillies, remove the seeds, and keep aside.
  4. Prepare stuffing with grated coconut, chopped onion, chopped coriander, remaining ajwain, amchur powder, garam masala and some salt.
  5. Fill the chillies with the stuffing, add some of the removed seeds if you want it to be more spicy
  6. Dip the stuffed chillies in the batter and deep fry them till they become light golden brown in colour
  7. Place them on paper napkin and serve hot with chutney or tomato sauce.
