Ingredients:

• Urad Dal – 1 cup
• Sago – 1/2 cup
• Salt to taste
• Green chillies – 3
• Ginger – a little
• Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
• Oil

Method:

  1. Wash and soak urad dal for 2 hours, and the sago for an hour.
  2. Grind urad dal with salt to a thick batter.
  3. To the urad dal batter, add chopped chillies, ginger, curry leaves.
  4. Squeeze out the water from sago and mix it with the batter.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, make small balls of the thick batter and flatten it, make a hole in the middle and deep fry it.
  6. Serve hot with any spicy chutney or ketchup.
