Ingredients:
• 500 g – split peas
• 500 to 700 g – Sugar
• 3 tbsp – Mustard oil
• salt to taste
Method:
- Soak the peas for 4 to 6 hours. Drain.
- Grind it along with some salt in a mixie.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the peas paste.
- Cook until it turns brown.
- Meanwhile, make sugar syrup of 1-string consistency.
- Mix it with the fried peas paste.
- Let it cool for half hour and then serve.
