Ingredients:

• 250 g- Sprouted Moong
• 2 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 150 g- Finely chopped Onions
• Milk of 1 Coconut (Freshly made)
• 4 tsp – Tamarind pulp (thick)
• Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• Oil as needed

Method:

  1. Peel the sprouted moong.
  2. Mix the moong, garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and onion together in a bowl.
  3. Do not add salt.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  5. Add the mixture and saute on a low flame, till the moong softens; but do not cook completely.
  6. Now, add the coconut milk, tamarind pulp and salt.
  7. Bring to boil and cook the moong fully.
  8. Add coriander and bring to boil for another two minutes.
  9. Serve hot with chapattis and rice.
