
Ingredients:
• 6 big slices day old bread (white, plain or brown)
• 3 green chillies, halved
• 1 tsp- coriander leaves, finely chopped
• 1 stalk Curry leaves
• 1/2 Lemon juice extracted
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp- Red Chilli powder
• 2 pinches Asafoetida powder
• 1/2 tsp- salt
• 1/2 tsp- each mustard & Cumin seeds
• 2 tbsp- oil
Method:
- Crumble bread slices coarsely, including crusty edges.
- Sprinkle chilli powder, turmeric, salt over crumbs, mix, keep aside.
- Heat oil in a large heavy pan, add seeds allow to splutter.
- Add asafoetida, chillies and curry leaves. Stir once.
- Add bread crumbs, lemon juice, and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander.
- Serve hot or cool a bit and pack in foil as a carry along.
