Ingredients:

• 2 cup – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – water or as needed
• 2 tsp – carom seeds (ajwain)
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – vegetable oil or Ghee
• 2 tbsp – dry Wheat flour
• 2 tsp – Butter

Method:

  1. Sieve wheat flour in a bowl and knead a soft dough using water.
  2. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Ajwain Laccha Paratha:
  4. Make 2 round balls from the dough.
  5. Take one ball on flat board. Dust with dry wheat flour and roll in small round shape.
  6. Now apply some oil on this round with fingers.
  7. Sprinkle 1/2 pinch of salt all over it. Likewise sprinkle some carom seeds on it (about 1/2 pinch).
  8. Now sprinkle some dry wheat flour over it.
  9. Press one half of this round towards centre.
  10. Apply some oil and dry flour on this side.
  11. Press another half towards centre.
  12. Apply oil and dry flour on it.
  13. Dust with dry flour.
  14. Roll into a big round or square shape.
  15. Heat a tava and transfer this round on it.
  16. Let it cook on low flame for 3 minutes.
  17. Flip the side and apply 1 tsp oil all over it.
  18. Now quickly flip it again.
  19. Cook from this side on (for 4 minutes) low heat with pressing and moving by a kitchen towel.
  20. Now flip again and cook from this side for 2 minutes.
  21. Serve hot with butter tea, pickle or chutney.
