Ingredients:
• 2 cup – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – water or as needed
• 2 tsp – carom seeds (ajwain)
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – vegetable oil or Ghee
• 2 tbsp – dry Wheat flour
• 2 tsp – Butter
Method:
- Sieve wheat flour in a bowl and knead a soft dough using water.
- Keep aside for 10 minutes.
- Ajwain Laccha Paratha:
- Make 2 round balls from the dough.
- Take one ball on flat board. Dust with dry wheat flour and roll in small round shape.
- Now apply some oil on this round with fingers.
- Sprinkle 1/2 pinch of salt all over it. Likewise sprinkle some carom seeds on it (about 1/2 pinch).
- Now sprinkle some dry wheat flour over it.
- Press one half of this round towards centre.
- Apply some oil and dry flour on this side.
- Press another half towards centre.
- Apply oil and dry flour on it.
- Dust with dry flour.
- Roll into a big round or square shape.
- Heat a tava and transfer this round on it.
- Let it cook on low flame for 3 minutes.
- Flip the side and apply 1 tsp oil all over it.
- Now quickly flip it again.
- Cook from this side on (for 4 minutes) low heat with pressing and moving by a kitchen towel.
- Now flip again and cook from this side for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot with butter tea, pickle or chutney.
