Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 5 (400 grams)
- Curd – ½ cup
- Green coriander – 2 tbsp (chopped)
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp
- Green chilly – 2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ¼ tsp
- Red chilly powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp or to taste
How to make?
Boil the potatoes and bream them finely. After this, heat a pan. Add some oil to it. When the oil is hot add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, green chili, ginger paste and coriander powder. Saute the masala for a while and then add curd to it and mix thoroughly. Also add red chili powder and cook until curd gets dense in consistency.
When the oil starts floating on the surface and the masala is roasted well, add salt and garam masala to it. After this add potatoes and some green coriander to it. Mix potatoes and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, bharta is ready. Transfer the bharta to a bowl and garnish with some green coriander. Flavorsome and super tempting aloo bharta makes a perfect combination with steaming hot pooris or paranthas. Everyone will relish eating it. It is sufficient for 4 to 5 family members.
