Ingredients:

• For koftas:
• Arvi – 300g
• Salt to taste
• Chilli Powder – 1tsp
• Coriander leaves a few sprigs
• Oil – for frying
• For Curry:
• Onion – 1
• Ginger – 1 inch piece
• Garlic – 4 Cloves
• Oil -3 tbsp
• Whole pepper – 1 tsp
• Whole Cardamom -3 nos
• Bay Leaf -2 small leaves
• Tomatoes – 3
• Water – required amount
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cook arvi with salt and chilli powder.
  2. Add the coriander leaves, mix well and shape into koftas and deep fry in oil.
  3. Grind together onion, ginger and garlic.
  4. Heat oil, add whole pepper, cardamom and bay leaves and add the ground paste and fry well.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and fry in low flame till soft and oil appears on sides. Add required water to form a gravy and boil, add salt and coriander leaves. Put in koftas just before serving.
