Ingredients:

• 1 liter – whole Cream milk.
• 1/4 cup – Poha (beaten rice)
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 4-5 pinches Cardamom powder
• 4 cashews, broken
• 5 almonds, slivered thinly
• 5 pistachios, slivered thinly
• 15-20 Raisins

Method:

  1. Wash Poha, drain and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Loosen Poha with fingers till each grain separates.
  3. Boil milk in a large deep vessel.
  4. Once it starts boiling well, add Poha, stir gently to resume boiling.
  5. Simmer, stirring occasionally, to almost half in volume.
  6. Add sugar, cardamom; stir and cook to dissolve.
  7. Add cashews, raisins, boil for 2 minutes further.
  8. Garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds.
  9. Serve hot.
