Ingredients:

• Petu of 1 Rohu fish
• 1 – medium-sized Aubergine
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 8-10 – crushed Garlic pods
• green chillies, Mustard oil and salt as required
• 1 pinch – baking soda (optional)

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry the onion until golden brown.
  2. Cut the aubergine into small pieces. Add to the onion and fry until soft.
  3. Add the fish petu, garlic, green chillies and salt and mix well. Cover with a lid.
  4. After about 5 minutes, mix the baking soda. Cover and cook on low flame until done.
  5. Serve with hot rice.
