Ingredients:
• 1/2 inch piece – Cinnamon
• 1 – Cardamom
• 2 – Cloves
• 1 cup – moong dal
• 1 medium size – Onion
• 1 – Tomato
• 1 – Green chilli
• 1 pinch – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 3 – 4 – chopped Garlic
• 1 – medium size Lemon
• 3 tsp – oil
Method:
- Dry roast moong dal for a few mins till the aroma is released.
- Pressure cook dal with 1/4 cup of water till mushy and keep aside.
- In a kadai, heat oil, add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and saute well.
- Add chilli, garlic and onion and keep sauteing till onions are fried well.
- Now add tomato and fry for 2 mins.
- Add turmeric and chilli powder.
- Add mashed moong dal and 1/2 cup water.
- Leave it to boil for 5 mins.
- Squeeze lemon while serving.
