Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 2 – onions, cut into thin slices
• 175g – besan, sieve well
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3/4 tsp – salt
• 2 tbsp – water
• 2 tsp – chopped Coriander leaves
Method:
- In a wide pan, heat oil. Add sliced onions and fry on medium to low heat until it is light golden in colour.
- Pour besan evenly with one hand and simultaneously stir it with a spatula with the other hand.
- Mix it evenly – or else it may form lumps.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to it. Mix all the ingredients well. Sprinkle 2 tbsp of water. Cover it with a lid and cook on low heat for 5 minutes until the besan is well coated and the colour changes.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot as a side dish with rotis.
