Bhakri is very famous Gujarati style chapatti. It’s a type of chapatti served with spicy ghee on the top. You can serve bhakri in your breakfast, with your main meal and as a snack. You can make Bhakri soft or hard, as per your choice. Usually it’s served with vegetables, curd, chutney, pickles, etc. Bhakri is easy and quick to make.

Ingredients

– 1 cup mixed bhakri Atta of rice, wheat and millets
– 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
– Salt to taste
– 2 tablespoon curd
– Warm water to make dough

For the spicy ghee

– 6 tablespoons ghee
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
– 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
– Salt to taste

How To Make?

1. Make a tight dough of bhakri Atta with warm water using ghee or oil an curd.
2. Add salt to taste while making a dough.
3. Then, make 12 balls and roll each one with dry flour to 2 mm thickness. Roll them enough to get circles of 5 cms diameter.
4. Roast bhakri or medium heat until crisp and gets brown spots on top.
5. Melt ghee and add the rest of the Ingredients.
6. Mix well and remove from the heat.
7. Apply on hot bhakris and serve with Pickle.
