Ingredients:

• 1 loaf – Bread
• 1 liter – Milk
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 3 tbsp – rose water
• A few strands Saffron
• 8 – 9 pieces – cashew nuts, chopped
• 50 g – Raisins
• 8 – 9 pieces – almonds, chopped
• 3/4 cup – Ghee

Method:

  1. In a thick-bottomed pan, boil the milk till it is slightly thick.
  2. Crumble the bread and mix it with milk, stirring continuously.
  3. Add sugar, ghee, saffron and rose water and keep stirring continuously till the whole mixture turns thick, slightly brown and comes out smoothly from the pan.
  4. Add the chopped nuts and raisins and remove from the flame.
  5. Serve hot or cold.
