
Ingredients:
• 1 small – cabbage, chopped
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – roasted and crushed Coriander seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 3 – dry Red Chillies
• 3 small – Carrots scraped and chopped into small pieces
• 1 tomato, chopped
• 4 tbsp – Coconut paste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil and saute the onions till light brown.
- Add the red chillies, coriander and cumin seeds and fry for a minute.
- Then add the tomato and stir fry till for a few minutes.
- Add the shredded cabbage and carrots and stir fry for a couple of minutes.
- Add the chilli powder, salt coconut and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes on low heat till the cabbage and carrots are cooked.
- Serve as a side dish with rice and chapattis.
