Ingredients:
• Urad Dal – 2 cups
• Cabbage – 1/2 cup finely chopped
• Onion – medium sized finely chopped
• Green chillies – 2 finely chopped)
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
Method:
- Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours.
- Chop cabbage, onion and green chillies finely.
- Make a fine paste of urad dal with a little water.
- Now add the chopped cabbage, onion and green chillies along with salt to the urad paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, wet your hand, take small quantities of the dough, make a hole in between (just like plain vada) and gently slide it into the oil.
- Use a wet plastic cover to slide the vada into the oil
