Ingredients:

• Urad Dal – 2 cups
• Cabbage – 1/2 cup finely chopped
• Onion – medium sized finely chopped
• Green chillies – 2 finely chopped)
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours.
  2. Chop cabbage, onion and green chillies finely.
  3. Make a fine paste of urad dal with a little water.
  4. Now add the chopped cabbage, onion and green chillies along with salt to the urad paste.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, wet your hand, take small quantities of the dough, make a hole in between (just like plain vada) and gently slide it into the oil.
  6. Use a wet plastic cover to slide the vada into the oil
