Ingredients:
• 225g – flour
• 1.5 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp – salt
• 55g – Butter
• 55g – Sugar
• 1 – Egg
• 100 ml – cold Milk
• A few drops of vanilla essence
• 1/2 tsp – Cinnamon powder
Method:
- Sift flour with baking powder. Rub in the fat.
- Beat eggs add milk and flavouring.
- Mix flour with egg, milk salt and form into smooth dough.
- Turn on to a floured board.
- Knead and divide into equal sized portions.
- Cut into doughnuts and fry in hot oil till golden brown.
- Turn doughnut on to a paper which has been sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.
