
Ingredients:
• Flat beans – 100g
• Chana dal – 150g
• Red Chillies – 5 to 6
• Salt to taste
• Oil – around 5 to 6 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Curry leaves – one small stalk
Method:
- Soak the chana dal and red chillies for about 2 hours.
- Cut the flat beans into small pieces.
- After 2 hours of soaking the chana dal and red chillies, grind it coarsely.
- Heat oil in a kadai, and add the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- After the seeds stop spluttering, add flat beans into the oil.
- Add a little salt for the flat beans to cook.
- After the flat beans are cooked properly, add the ground chana dal paste into the oil.
- Cook well till the water from the chana dal dries away.
- Serve usli with rasam rice or mor kolumbu.
