Ingredients:

• 100 g – black chana, soaked
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1/4 tsp – asafetida
• 1/4 tsp – Fenugreek powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – besan
• 1/2 cup – Tamarind water
• 1 tbsp – Amchoor
• 2 1/2 to 3 cups – water
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil black grams (channa).
  2. Heat oil, asafoetida powder, fenugreek powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  3. Dissolve besan in 3 tbsp of water and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add this mixture and tamarind water and bring to a boil.
  5. Add boiled black channa, amchoor powder and 3 cup of water.
  6. Boil it for 10-15 mins on medium flame. Serve hot
