Ingredients:
• Chicken – 1/2 kg
• Onion – 1, medium sized, finely chopped
• Tomato – 2, medium sized, finely diced
• Yogurt – 2 tbsp
• Ginger-garlic paste (fresh) – 2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Coriander powder – 1 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1.5 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil – 2-3 tsp
• Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp, finely chopped
Method:
- Clean and wash the chicken.
- In a bowl, mix the yogurt, 1/2 tsp of turmeric, red chilli, salt, ginger-garlic paste and garam masala powder.
- Coat the chicken with this marinade and keep aside for an hour.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, saute onions to golden brown and add the remaining ginger-garlic paste.
- Stir for a second, then add the marinated chicken and fry for a minute.
- Add all the powder masalas, stir and add the tomatoes, salt, 1/2 glass of water and pressure-cook for 1 whistle.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
