Ingredients:
• 1 cup – all purpose flour
• 1/4 cup – cocoa powder
• 1 cup – castor Sugar
• 1/4 cup – Butter
• 3/4 cup – Milk
• 1 – Egg
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/4 tsp – baking soda
• 1/2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1/2 cup – chopped Walnuts
Method:
- Sieve the flour, baking powder, soda and cocoa together.
- Mix in the walnuts. Keep aside.
- Beat the butter with sugar until light.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla essence. Beat for 2 minutes.
- Add the flour-walnuts mixture, alternating with milk, and mix lightly.
- Pour onto a greased 8-inch dish and bake in a moderately hot oven for 35 minutes or until done.
