Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Skimmed Milk
• 1/4 cup – Skimmed Milk powder
• 1/4 cup – Cocoa powder
• 3/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Toasted Wheat bran
• 1/4 cup – Puffed Rice crispies
• 4 to 5 drops – Vanilla essence
• 2 tbsp – Butter

Method:

  1. Mix cocoa and skimmed milk powder together.
  2. Add 1/2 cup skimmed milk, and dissolve the powders in it to make a smooth paste.
  3. Put butter and sugar in a non-stick pan.
  4. Place on low heat, stirring occasionally, till it melts fully.
  5. Add the remaining skimmed milk and bring it to a boil.
  6. Add prepared paste, gradually pouring it, while gently stirring the mixture till a very soft lump is formed.
  7. Mixture should leave the sides of the pan easily.
  8. Add vanilla essence, rice crispies and half the wheat bran.
  9. Take off fire, and continue mixing till the mixture can be held in the hand.
  10. Roll into small balls between both palms.
  11. Roll these balls in the remaining bran till they are coated all over.
  12. Refrigerate on a sheet of butter paper, till well set.
  13. Store refrigerated in an air-tight container.
