Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Skimmed Milk
• 1/4 cup – Skimmed Milk powder
• 1/4 cup – Cocoa powder
• 3/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Toasted Wheat bran
• 1/4 cup – Puffed Rice crispies
• 4 to 5 drops – Vanilla essence
• 2 tbsp – Butter
Method:
- Mix cocoa and skimmed milk powder together.
- Add 1/2 cup skimmed milk, and dissolve the powders in it to make a smooth paste.
- Put butter and sugar in a non-stick pan.
- Place on low heat, stirring occasionally, till it melts fully.
- Add the remaining skimmed milk and bring it to a boil.
- Add prepared paste, gradually pouring it, while gently stirring the mixture till a very soft lump is formed.
- Mixture should leave the sides of the pan easily.
- Add vanilla essence, rice crispies and half the wheat bran.
- Take off fire, and continue mixing till the mixture can be held in the hand.
- Roll into small balls between both palms.
- Roll these balls in the remaining bran till they are coated all over.
- Refrigerate on a sheet of butter paper, till well set.
- Store refrigerated in an air-tight container.
