
Ingredients:
• 3 tbsp – cocoa powder
• 11 gms – (1 sachet) gelatin
• 3 – eggs
• 8 tbsp – Sugar
• 2 cups – Milk
• 200 gms – fresh Cream
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1 bar – chocolate (40 gms)
Method:
- Place 3 tbsp of cold water in a bowl.
- Sprinkle gelatine on the surface of the water.
- Leave to soak for 5 minutes.
- Dissolve the gelatine by standing the bowl in a pan of hot water.
- Separate the egg whites and the yolks.
- Add sugar to the yolks.
- Beat the egg yolks till they acquire a creamy texture.
- Add milk and cocoa powder to the mixture and mix well.
- Boil over a medium flame to make custard.
- Stir at regular intervals.
- When the mixture reaches a thick consistency of a custard, remove from flame.
- Cool completely and add the melted gelatine.
- Mix gently.
- Place this vessel (with the mixture) in a bowl filled with ice-cubes and stir till the mixture thickens.
- Gently beat the cream till it thickens a little and add it to the custard.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff and add it to the custard.
- Add essence and mix gently.
- Pour in a fancy bowl and leave to set in the fridge.
- Once it sets decorate with grated chocolate.
- Serve chilled.
