Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – Dried red chillies
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 3 tbsp – whole Coriander seeds
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind (seedless)
• 1 tsp – salt
• 5 – Garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tbsp – Cumin seeds

Method:

  1. Heat a medium-sized wok and add oil and chillies. Stir the chillies until they are fried (takes about 7 minutes).
  2. Then add whole coriander seeds and fry them for about 4 mins.
  3. Cut tamarind into small pieces and blend with salt and the above ingredients for about 4 mins.
  4. Add garlic and cumin seeds to the above mixture and blend them for 5-6 seconds.
