
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – white chick peas (chole), boiled and drained
• 1 – onion, medium sized, chopped
• 3-4 – green chillies, chopped
• 2 stalks – Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 – dry Red Chillies (optional)
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• a few coriander leaves, chopped
• 2 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadhai and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal.
- When they splutter, add dry red chillies, green chillies and curry leaves. Stir for 15 seconds.
- Add turmeric powder and onions and saute until the onions are translucent.
- Add the boiled chole and stir well.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame, stirring every 2 minutes.
- Add salt and mix well and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Remove and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with puris or rotis.
