Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Wheat flour
• 1 cup – rolled oats
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• 3 tbsp – vegetable shortening
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 tbsp – ground flaxseeds
• 6 tbsp – water
• 1/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/4 cup – Almond Milk
• 1/4 cup – chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425F.
  2. In a bowl, add wheat flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, blend well with your fingers.
  3. First add the shortening oil to the flour and make them crumbly texture.
  4. Mix the ground flaxseed powder with 6 tbsp of water into thick paste and add to the almond milk, sugar and the chocolate chips.
  5. Mix everything well to make them as dough.
  6. Dust the dough with few spoons of all-purpose flour.
  7. Roll the dough with a rolling pin to a thick disc.
  8. Cut the disc into 8 wedges.
  9. Transfer the wedges to a cookie sheet, leave at least few space between the scones.
  10. Brush on top of the scones with almond milk and bake for 20 minutes.
