
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Whole Wheat pastry flour
• 1 cup – rolled oats
• 1/4 cup – Raisins or golden Raisins
• 100 gm – Dark chocolate bar (chopped)
• 2 tbsp – Cooking oil
• Milk for brushing
• 1 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – Baking soda
• 3 tbsp – Apple sauce
• 2 tbsp – Maple syrup
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Take the flour, rolled oats, raisins, chopped chocolate bar, baking powder and baking soda together in a bowl and mix well.
- Meanwhile mix the oil, apple sauce and maple syrup together in a bowl.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and knead into a soft dough (sprinkle water if needed).
- Dust the dough and roll into a thick disc. Cut the disc into triangular scones.
- Arrange the scones over a baking sheet lined over a baking tray, brush them slightly with milk and bake for 20-25 minutes in middle rack.
- Store them in airtight box and enjoy with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
