Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – unsalted Butter
• 1 cup – powdered Sugar
• 1/4 tsp – salt
• 1 egg, well beaten
• 2 cups – flour
• 1.5 tsp – ground Cardamom
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 cup – sour Cream
• 1/2 cup – buttermilk
• A pinch of icing Sugar for dusting
Method:
- Beat the unsalted butter with the powdered sugar and 1/4 tsp – salt.
- Add the egg and beat well.
- Sift 2 cups flour together with ground cardamom and baking soda.
- Add the flour to the butter mixture alternately with the sour cream.
- Add enough buttermilk (about half cup) to make a soft dropping consistency.
- Bake in two greased and floured 6-inch ring moulds for about 20-25 mins at 180 deg C.
- Turn out onto a wire rack.
- Serve with a dusting of icing sugar.
