Farali Samosa, the all-time favorite tea time snack, only this time it is made with samvat rice flour. So, now you can feast it during your fasting. This fasting samosa is stuffed with potato mixture that is spiced with green chilli paste and red chilli powder and the outer layer is made with samvat rice flour. This recipe makes use of rock salt so can be relished during fasting. Here’s an easy recipe for a lip-smacking farali samosa snack.

Ingredients

To Make Dough

– 1 cup samvat rice flour
– 1 teaspoon oil
– Rock salt to taste

To Make Stuffing

– 3 boiled, peeled andamp; mashed potatoes
– 2 teaspoons oil
– ? teaspoon cumin seeds
– 2 finely chopped green chilies
– ? teaspoon red chilli powder
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
– ? tablespoon sugar
– Rock salt to taste
– Oil for frying

How To Cook?

To Make Stuffing

1. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds and when they starts crackle add chopped green chilli and saut? it for few seconds and then add mashed potatoes, red chilli powder, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Stir well to mix.
2. Remove from the heat and set aside.

To Make Dough

1. Mix all the Ingredients of dough and add water little by little and make a hard dough.

To Make Samosa

1. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
2. Meanwhile, divide the dough into equal portions and roll out them into 4 inch diameter and make sure it is not very thin.
3. Cut it into half and apply water on the edges then shape into cone and stuff each cone with the portion of potato stuffing.
4. Again apply water to the edges and seal them well then deep fry in hot oil over MEDIUM heat till golden brown and crisp.
5. Drain on towel paper and serve hot with farali green chutney.
