Ingredients:
• Maida – 2 cups
• Salt – 1 tsp
• Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
• Soda – 1/2 tsp
• Oil or Ghee – 2 tbsp
• Warm Milk – 1/2 cup
• Curd – 1/2 cup
• Sugar – 1 tsp
• Fresh Yeast – 1 tsp
Method:
- Mix maida, salt, baking powder and soda.
- Add 2 tbsp of oil or ghee.
- In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and curd.
- Dissolve the sugar in it.
- Add the fresh yeast and add this liquid to the maida mixture.
- Add enough warm water to make a very soft dough.
- Keep covered until it grows to double in volume.
- Punch it down, knead till smooth.
- Then make small balls, roll out into oval shaped nanas and cook on a hot tawa until both sides are done.
